Domestic Longhair Black/White Tuxedo
Penny is quite sensitive to noise and sudden activity, running away when she is alarmed or uncertain. To help her with this, she will need a few safe hiding spaces in a calm, quiet home environment. Penny requires a cat-savvy adopter who will understand her boundaries and triggers. She can swat and hiss, especially when feeling unsure. As she gets more comfortable with you, this will not happen as much. While Penny takes a while to warm up to people, once comfortable, she will reward you with affection. This sweet girl will happily sit next to you on your bed or sofa, curling up in a ball, kneading and purring loudly. She loves chin rubs and rubbing up against your legs when she's happy to see you. Penny also enjoys playing with her laser toy and chasing after treats! Penny is looking for a quiet home with no kids or other animals, and a cat-savvy adopter who will give her lots of time to settle in.
Domestic Shorthair/Manx Grey
Teddy is a sweet boy who loves people. He'll greet you at the door, head butt your legs, and then flop over for more attention. He will immediately join you on the couch, eager for chin or nose scratches. When you lay down, Teddy will cuddle up next to you, giving you all the face rubs and contented purrs you could hope for. Teddy will also groom you. He is very generous with his licks and will enjoy laying on your chest for more face nuzzling, where he'll also sometimes stay for an afternoon nap. At night, he loves to play with wand toys, which he will chase until he's out of breath! Teddy isn't the most vocal cat, but he will let you know if he is hungry and when he's about to jump, which he is very good at. While Teddy is not a fan of small children, he is okay as long as they're not too excited and give him plenty of space. Teddy is best suited for a calm home with no other pets or children. If you're looking for a companion who likes to play, but is also content curled up beside you for a nap, Teddy may be the kitty for you.
Domestic Shorthair Grey/None
Hi! I'm Sweeti Pi and I can be just as sweet as my name implies. I've had a bit of a hard life, but will love being with you. You would never know that I am blind in one eye and am missing a tooth. I love to press foreheads and have my cheeks scratched. When you sit on the couch, I will run from where ever I am because couch time is my favourite time. (I prefer stilling on the couch rather than your lap.) Don't worry about forgetting anything; I will let you know when it's time to eat or time for attention. I sometimes get a little over stimulated and don't always respond in a lady like manner. I am learning though, and always get a treat when I am a good girl. Change is a little unsettling, but after a few days, I adapt. I would love to be the queen of your quiet castle!

Sumi is a sweet and affectionate kitty who loves to sit on your lap and isn't stingy with her purrs. She's laidback, and loves to perch in a high place and dangle her paws off the side for hours. She doesn't mind being picked up gently, and loves any chance to cuddle and be pet. She is very shy at first, but she warms up to new people quickly once she feels at home. Sumi can be quite chatty, especially around mealtimes. She would thrive in a quiet home with stable routines where she can feel safe and comfortable. Sumi was diagnosed with diabetes in 2017. Her diabetes is currently being managed with a specific diabetic diet as well as insulin shots twice per day. She is very sweet, and has no trouble receiving her insulin shot. It is important that she is fed and receives her insulin on a consistent schedule every 12 hours. Her ideal adopter would be someone who is looking for an affectionate kitty, and is willing to put in the extra effort to give her the life she deserves. The adopter must keep Sumi on a diabetic diet, continue monitoring her diabetes and give insulin shots. See the video of Sumi getting her insulin shot!
Domestic Shorthair/Siamese Brown/Cream
Hi! I'm Mickey, a sweet, affectionate, and loving boy in search of my forever home! My love languages are physical touch and quality time, so my favourite place in the world is on your lap. I also love giving kisses, holding hands, and distracting you with my cute face while you work on your computer. Naturally confident, I will thrive in a home where I can get lots of attention and cuddles. I'm not a big fan of cardio, but look forward to catching toys you hide and move under a blanket. Once settled in, I will show you more of my sweet and silly personality, which includes being vocal and climbing up for the occasional shoulder ride! I am a big foodie. However, because of my diabetes, I must be careful of what I eat and require insulin every day. I take my insulin like a champ and don't let it get me down. I also have mild arthritis, but I am super mobile, so you wouldn't even be able to tell! I need to be adopted with Minnie, my adoptive sister. I have been with her since I was a kitten and we have a special bond.
Domestic Shorthair Black/Brown
Hi there! I am Minnie, the purring machine! I am a sweet little lady with a silky coat. I love to be pet, brushed, and scratched all over my back. My favourite pastimes are watching bird videos, playing with catnip toys, and chasing ribbons, all of which get me into a super playful mood and sometimes give me the zoomies! I am very attached to my cat tower, as this is where I feel the safest. That being said, the sound of the treat bag shaking will usually get me out. I am very shy and will need a lot of patience with settling in, but I promise it's worth it! Once you pass the test, I will bless you by sitting on your lap and letting you hear my ferociously cute meow. Because loud noises frighten me, I am looking for a quieter home. I need to be adopted with Mickey, my adoptive brother, who I have been with since I was a kitten!

This kitten-sized goofball is ready for her forever home! Mozza was found living outside near a busy intersection. It's not clear how she ended up there, but she seems to have had a traumatic life. She's a tiny girl with a crooked little stub of a tail, and an old lip injury that gives her a skeptical expression. When Mozza arrived at VOKRA, she was extremely frightened and withdrawn. Happily, she's now recovering from her time on the street and learning the joys of house cat life. Mozza has made great progress and is quickly coming out of her shell. In light of this, she requires a quiet and patient home where she can continue to learn that the world is not so scary anymore. Once she feels safe, Mozza has a sweet, friendly, and cuddly personality. She prances around on the cutest tiny paws, purrs loudly, and does funny little somersaults when you pet her. This helpful kitty loves to keep you company while you watch movies or work on the computer, although she doesn't quite understand sitting on laps yet. Mozza looks forward to settling into her new home!
Domestic Shorthair/Manx Black
Scooter lives up to her name! Despite her Cerebellar Hypoplasia, she doesn't let anything stop her from being a lively, happy kitten. She loves playing with toys and exploring her space, having figured out inventive ways to use her play cube to stabilize herself, moving around confidently. Brave and outgoing, Scooter has developed an adorable vocabulary full of cute trills, squeaks, and meows to let you know exactly how she is feeling. She has a champion purr and loves to be scratched and petted by anyone who is willing. Everyone who meets Scooter falls in love with her. Scooter has developed a predictable routine for feeding and using her litter box successfully. As long as her space is set up with her needs in mind, she is independent, successful, and happy. Scooter's ideal home would be one where minor accommodations are made to make her more comfortable. These include carpet or area rugs, a few rolled up blankets, as well as close accessibility to her litter boxes and play cubes. Any stairs going down would need a gate or barrier. These sisters get along well with friendly adult cats and older children. Must be adopted with Luna.

These very special bonded sisters, Luna and Scooter, are ready for their forever home! Sweet and soft-natured, Luna has a playful, friendly personality and impeccable manners. She loves exploring all the nooks and crannies of a house and spends hours chatting at birds out the window. Luna also enjoys playing with toys or wands and chasing balls. In the afternoon, you can find Luna and her sister curled up for long, cozy naps on a soft blanket. Luna takes her job as big sister to Scooter very seriously, watching over Scooter lovingly and bathing her face and head. This beautiful girl and her sister will make a wonderful addition to a special home. Must adopt with Scooter.
Domestic Shorthair Black
Although she is young, Kya is wise beyond her years. This mom had multiple litters while living outdoors before coming to VOKRA, and she is delighted to be free to focus on herself now. Kya has an unusually short tail, which she will happily wag when she is enjoying a treat or gentle pets. A favourite spot is the windowsill, where she often spends the afternoon. Best described as relaxed, Kya's perfect day consists of napping in the sun, stretching at the scratching post, treats, pets, and a few good meals. Kya is very tolerant of her high energy kittens, even if she doesn't typically initiate time spent zooming around the house. This sociable kitty also gets along well with the resident senior cat at her foster home. Because Kya loves spending time with other cats, she hopes to become a buddy to another feline in her new home. Once she has settled in, when in the mood for it, Kya will enjoy long sessions of petting. She has become more and more affectionate while in foster care, and will continue to grow in a loving home. Must adopt as a buddy to another cat.
